Our creative approach to build a community Marine eco-system archway was PLAYFUL, IMAGINATIVE and made entirely from rescued and recycled materials.

In collaboration with Netty Lou and Lise Bennett we invited neighbours, inhabitants, friends and families to create and sculpt coral reef elements for the Ripple Effect Dress Reveal Celebration evening. A wearable piece of art made up collectively of over 100 individual panels and pieces inspired by the David Attenborough's Ocean documentary.

Connecting us all to each other and to foster bridging the gap between species, to be mindful of the natural and harmonious relationships that can flourish with compassionate care between animal human empathy to protect our home, the ocean and planet earth.

Using a variety of recyclable junk modelling materials, preloved textiles, natural and biodegradable resources we made a collective piece of eco-art. A meaningful reflection to give the ocean a visual voice, to be heard, loved and cherished forever.

Together we can signal our frequency far and wide like dolphins playing in the ocean! Creating a Culture of Care and Conservation.

This workshop was funded by Derbyshire Makes, allowing us to come together and create something special for the final celebration.
